Privacy Policy
myVote is operated by Impartial Politics Pty Ltd. This draft explains what Phase 1 is built to store. A lawyer must review it before the site is published.
Anonymous counts
The site can count an electorate or region page being opened, a candidate or party page being opened, quiz answers by topic, topics marked as mattering most, which party had the highest agreement, and that a page was shared. Those counts use the Melbourne date only. They do not include a name, email, postcode, street, GPS point, or an identifier for the person. A published cell needs at least 50 events. Smaller groups are hidden, and no grand total is published beside them.
Voters
The policy questions do not ask for your name, email or electorate. The database stores only anonymous counts of answers (how many people chose agree, neutral, disagree or skip on a question, per day). It does not store a quiz result against a person. Hosting logs may still record IP addresses. That must be reviewed before launch.
Candidates
If you submit a profile we store your name, email, mobile, electorate or region, party or independent status, biography, topic positions, photo and declarations. Email and mobile are for the operator to reach you. They are not shown on the public profile. Your biography and positions are published unedited if the profile goes live.
Contacts
Messages sent through the contact form are stored so they can be read and replied to.
Where it is kept
The production database is Supabase in Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Photos sit in a private storage bucket. The preview you can open without keys uses example data on the server running the preview, not the production database.
